June Triad Area Update

 On May 19th, the Triad Area had its meeting at “The Barn at Royal Gait”. We had 48 members attend and Big John’s food truck was onsite to supply our meal. Special thanks to Bobby Royals and Tim Robertson for hosting us and setting up the tables and chairs.

We also wish to thank Carolinas Region President, Jim Hess and his wife Nelly for attending.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to Jeff Matthews out of the Lake Norman area for donating 3 items that he made out of wood. Used as door and raffle prizes, they consisted of a cheese board, cutting block and Porsche emblem. Jeff’s generous donation allowed us to raise $450.00 for our charity pot.

Next, we recognized and welcomed new PCA members, Chris and Lori Belle Isle, Laren Maree, Todd Dimaria and returning member Terry McDonald.

TJ Gottwalt, our Triad Area Membership Ambassador, updated us on the membership status and anniversaries. After which, we recognized and celebrated the following May birthdays.

The lucky birthday individuals were once again serenaded by Jerry Kilcrease’s “Golden” pipes. This month’s meeting theme was “Shine and Show”. We had 25 owners enter their prized vehicles into a People’s Choice contest

As a reminder, I am resigning from my position as Triad Area PCA Area Director, effective December 31st, 2026. Sarah and I truly grateful to have had the opportunity to serve in this role and contribute to PCA.

PCA Carolina’s Region President, Jim Hess and I are still looking for a volunteer to take over this role. Please reach out to Jim or myself if you have interest in this role. I am happy to assist in any way possible to ensure a smooth transition.
